JOB TITLE: Therapist
COMPENSATION:$52,000-$60,000.
Note: Compensation is based on factors such as job duties, education and licensure levels, experience, position autonomy, and supervisory responsibilities. POSITION SUMMARY:
The therapist is skilled at clinical interventions designed to help disenfranchised populations reach their treatment goals and improve well-being. The therapist works as part of an integrated treatment team, collaborating with medical clinic staff and case managers. The therapist is passionate about providing holistic, potentially long-term therapy for clients with mental health and substance use disorders and understands the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance, healthy boundaries, and consistent self-care.
Work involves providing direct clinical interventions designed to help disenfranchised populations reach their treatment goals. The duties and responsibilities are performed in a combination of in office and remote work settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Assist in performing regular internal chart reviews.
- Complete biopsychosocial diagnostic intake assessments with new clients to fully assess clients’ mental health needs.
- Collaborate with clients to develop individual treatment plans and communicate diagnoses and therapeutic process to clients.
- Provide individual therapy to a caseload of 20-25 clients per week.
- Facilitate group therapy.
- Provide crisis support for Choice Health Network clients including supporting staff members working with clients in crisis.
- Assess client levels of care and provide case management around referrals, as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and case managers to provide integrated care for all mental health clients.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Collect and report outcome data to gauge client progress and improved clinical skills.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· Excellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills.
· Possess strong organizational skills with ability to meet a demanding workload.
· Detail oriented to complete requirements of files and contract compliance.
· Creative thinker/adaptive personality.
· Concentrated record keeping, budgeting, and mathematical skills; ability to produce required reports to federal, state. and local government agencies and funding sources.
· Fluency in the English language is required. Spanish speaking ability is an added asset, but is not required.
· Experience with computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served.
· A commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems.
· A conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change.
· The ability to establish and set appropriate limits with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence.
· The ability to work collaboratively with other personnel and/or service providers or professionals.
· The capacity to maintain a role to empower clients and to intervene appropriately to meet service goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· People with lived experience of substance use, incarceration, homelessness, and sex work; people of color; members of the LGBTQIA+ community; and, people living with HIV and/or hepatitis C are encouraged to apply.
