In continuing the tradition of the HOPE Center, Positively Living & Choice Health Network will once again distribute HOPE buckets to the people in our community living with HIV. These buckets include hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and other essentials, and will be given on December 1: World AIDS Day.
World AIDS Day is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and remembering and celebrating the lives of those we have lost. According to UNAIDS, AIDS has killed between 36.3 million people worldwide, and 37.7 million people are living with HIV today.
Positively Living & Choice Health Network set up ‘the HOPE Fund’ with East Tennessee Foundation to ensure the tradition of providing HOPE buckets lives on. Last year, alongside the buckets, we also provided holiday food cards for the low-income families we serve, and Angel Tree gifts for the children.
Since the launch of our Choice Health Network in 2018, we are now serving three times the number of people – 6,000 individuals and families in four cities across the state – compared to when we first undertook the HOPE bucket legacy. That is why this year, we need your help.
Please make a gift today so that, in addition to health and equity, we can deliver HOPE for the holidays.
- $50 would cover the cost of one family’s food card, ensuring they have a holiday meal.
- $100 would cover one family’s Angel Tree gifts: coats, winter clothing, and educational toys.
- $250 would cover HOPE buckets for two families.
- $1,000 would cover HOPE buckets for eight families.
